Mark Longair
This is a small page linking to other things about me,
since people sometimes ask for such a page to link to. I'm
currently working as a postdoc at
the Institute of
Neuroinformatics in Zürich.
- You can find posts I've written recently
on my blog, while
earlier material along slightly more eccentric lines
is here.
- There are lots of photos I've taken at
my Flickr
page, although in general you can't see pictures with
people in them unless I've marked you as a Friend on
Flickr.
- I keep track of bookmarks
with delicious;
you can also view those as a tag cloud.
- You might know my name from the volunteer work I did to
parse records from the Scottish Parliament's Official Report,
Written Answers and Business bulletins to add support for the
Scottish Parliament
to TheyWorkForYou
and The Public Whip
- I'm one of the contributors who write blog posts about the
clues in the Guardian cryptic crossword at the
website fifteensquared.net.
(You can also just
see my recent
posts there.)
- In the last year or two, I've written quite a lot of
answers on Stack
Overflow, mostly on git and Python - you can find those
via my profile
page.
- I'm a core contributor to
the Fiji project,
which is a distribution of image processing tools based
around ImageJ.
- You can follow me on Twitter, where I post
as mhl20
- Supposing that, for some reason or other, you want to buy me a gift,
then there are
always suggestions
on my Amazon Wish List.
- Recently I've become interested
in "German-style"
board games - you can see
my current
collection of games and the list of those that I'm
interested in trying
or buying.
